Cancellation/Refund Procedures
: After obtaining the service agreement, if the applicant is unable to use the service as scheduled, they should notify the co-organizer through the agent (the original payment receipt and ship certificate will be invalidated) by taking a photo or scanning the written "Co-organizer Service Change Agreement" to cancel the service. Refunds may be requested according to the following regulations:
(1) 12-person and 6-person halls will not accept single-person refunds.
(2) Cancellations made 72 hours before midnight on the funeral day will receive a full refund within 30 days.
(3) Cancellations made 48-71 hours before midnight on the funeral day will receive a refund within 30 days for the insurance premium and half of the remaining payment. If the service is changed to a family member not accompanying the attendant, the insurance premium will be refunded within 30 days, with only the transfer fee and the sea burial agent fee charged.
(4) If the service is cancelled between 47 and 00 hours before midnight on the funeral day, the applicant will be required to transport the body back by himself. The amount paid will not be refunded, and the applicant must pay the body ice storage fee/casket storage fee in accordance with the Taipei City Funeral Management Office; or if the family members do not accompany the funeral, the insurance premium will be refunded within 30 days, and only the transportation fee and the agency sea burial fee will be charged.
(5) In case of bad weather or force majeure, if the voyage is cancelled, the applicant may choose to have the full amount refunded within 30 days; or choose to arrange another service time.
(6) If the passenger fails to board the ship on time, or there is a risk of endangering health or navigation safety, the captain shall take emergency measures and force the passenger to leave the ship in accordance with his authority, and the applicant shall still pay the full amount.
(7) After completing the application for the funeral and sea burial assistance service, it cannot be transferred to others.
